Hold Fast

Group Therapy for Men

COMING SOON

'Hold Fast': a nautical term with origins to Dutch and Norwegian words 'houd vast', meaning hold tight, used to command sailors to bear down and hold tight during a storm.

Hold Fast is a compassion focused group psychotherapy programme for men, particularly for men who struggle with shame and self-criticism. The programme is designed in three parts: consultation, group therapy, monthly drop ins. A particular emphasis of Hold Fast is looking at your relationships, with yourself and others, holding in mind you need to have

"one hand for you and one hand for your ship".

Groups are often thought of being a lesser form of therapy or too intimidating. We would argue the opposite and what can be achieved from group psychotherapy cannot be replicated in an individual therapy session. Groups can also make good, quality psychotherapy affordable.

Consultation is free. Get in contact to learn more.
